
Paul Plowman - Saxophone, keyboards, bass, vocals - Leader
Paul began playing professionally when he was 17 years old. He bacame a member of the Spokane Symphony when he was 19 and is currently 3rd bassoon. He has played with the Spokane Jazz Orchestra. He has played over 60 different musical shows at the Spokane Civic Theatre, Spokane Opera House, Couer d'Alene Summer Theatre including Annie, the Producers, Mame, Cabaret, West Side Story and many, many others. . He has played with Natalie Cole, The Moody Blues, Bob Hope, George Burns, Lou Rawls, Toni Tenille, Crystal Gale, Jerry Lewis, Robert Goulet, Carol Channing, John Trivolta and many others. He played in or with Forecast, Motion, the Many Sounds of Nine, The Jim Baker Orchestra, the Taz Band, That Goodtimes Band. Paul arranges all of the band's music and provides the PA and lighting.Finesse is the only band in Spokane to have a world-class saxophonist in it.

Nick Herman - Guitar, Vocals
Nick Herman began playing Guitar professionally in local dance bands at age 16 and performed regularly at area Night Clubs, Corporate Events and Weddings. In addition to dance music, Nick has also had the opportunity to work with internationally known entertainers, who hired local musicians to perform in their shows. These entertainers include Bob Hope, George Burns, Phyllis Diller, Bob Newhart and many others.Nick has also performed in local orchestras, hired to perform with touring Broadway shows as well as many summers performing with the Coeur D' Alene Summer Theater. Touring Broadway shows include "Man Of La Mancha", featuring Robert Goulet and Disney's "The Lion King".
As a member of the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, Nick has performed with many touring Jazz Musicians, including Jeff Lorber and Diane Kraull.
In addition to Dance and Concert music, Nick also performs listening music with several local Jazz groups. He has recently added an evening's worth of Solo Jazz Guitar songs to his repertoire.
Finesse is the only band in Spokane to have a world class guitarist in it.
Tom Carnegie - Guitars, Bass, Vocals
Started out by playing the drums. After that, started playing guitar and began to back up old time fiddlers. Started playing bass with the band Green Valley Boys. Played 5-string banjo in the bluegrass band Mountain Magic. Started playing bass in another blue grass band Blue Road Rounders. Began also to play bagpipes and joined the loacal pipe band. Played guitar with folk group Flowstone. began next to play bass with Finesse, and after a fashion, started also to play guitar with them. Also plays guitar and banjo with Crooked Kilt. Tom is a local expert recording engineer, and has produced and recorded many CD's for local musicians (including Finesse). Steve Croteau - Drums
Steve is a Spokane native and discovered his passion for percussion at age 13 when he began formal studies with local legend Bill Watson. He attended Spokane Falls Community College and Eastern Washington University. While at EWU Steve excelled in snare drum, drum set, and timpani. He enjoyed performing with the EWU Percussion Ensemble most of all and has also performed with Allegro and the Spokane Symphony Orchestra. Steve has played with numerous groups in the Spokane area including, The Dennis Roberts Trio, Blue Ridge, Sideline, Finesse, The Craig Volosing Quintet, The Rhythm Dogs, The Spokane Falls Community Band, The Spokane Falls Community Jazz Band, Northern Light, Nick Shauer, Lindel Reason, Michael Kates, and The Robin Marks Quartet. Steve's current project involves a radical special effects cymbal he has developed. Serpent Cymbals is a small cymbal manufacturing company that has already attracted the attention of percussionists from around the world with the unique design and sound of this remarkable cymbal. Cindi Plowman - Featured Female Vocalist
Cindi began singing professionally at the age of 15 with various local bands. She went on to study professionally with acclaimed vocal teachers Marie Rodkey and Charles Zimmerman. She won various singing awards and honors from local colleges SFCC and EWU. She joined Paul and Nick as a vocalist in the band Forecast in 1979 and has continued to perform with various local bands for the past twenty years. Cindi's stylistic range varies from classical to jazz; rock-n-roll and pop. As a classically trained vocalist, she also enjoys performing at local churches, retirement homes and private parties and weddings.Back
