subway tile

Subway tile, a historic building material

Subway tile has long left behind it's former use of only being installed in subway systems. Now we see subway tile in use in bathroom wainscots and subway tile is also sometimes used for a kitchen backsplash. Most typically seen in the 3 inch by 6 inch dimensions, subway tile nonetheless can less commonly be found in other dimensions as well. A type of subway tile that is becoming increasingly popular is the charade subway tile that is characterized by an extemely gentle and wide bevel. It is a little more costly than plain vanilla subway tile, but it is not exorbitant.
